Salted Shortbread Biscuits Recipe

These Salted Shortbread Biscuits are a tasty treat that go great with a cup of tea or coffee. The sweet and salty flavours will definitely satisfy your taste buds.

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: 15 minutes
  • Total Time: 30 minutes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter, caster sugar, and salt.
  • Mix in the plain flour until a dough forms.
  • Roll out the dough until it is 1cm thick on a lightly floured surface.
  • Cut out biscuits with a cookie cutter and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • On top of each biscuit, sprinkle with sea salt flakes.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges.
  • Remove the biscuits from the oven and cool on a wire rack before serving.
