- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup sanding sugar (red and green)
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- food coloring in red and green
- 1 cup granulated sugar

Instructions
- Cream the butter and sugar together in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- One at a time, beat in the vanilla extract and eggs.

- Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture gradually, mixing until just combined.
- Divide the dough in half and color one half red and the other half green with food coloring.
- Form each half into a disc, wrap in plastic wrap, and place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
