These MandM Chocolate Christmas Tree Cookies are a fun and festive holiday treat to make. They're soft and buttery, with a hint of vanilla flavor, and the mini M&Ms add a splash of colour and crunch. Ideal for entertaining friends and family.
Ingredients
- 1 bag mini m&ms
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- Green food coloring
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup granulated sugar
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 20 minutes
- Cook Time: 12 minutes
- Total Time: 32 minutes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream the butter and sugar together in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Incorporate the egg and vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until completely combined.
- Green food coloring should be added until the desired color is achieved.
- Form the dough into small balls and place them on the baking sheet that has been prepared.
- To make Christmas tree ornaments, press mini M&Ms into the dough.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
