Chocolate Biscotti Recipe

Chocolate Biscotti are a delicious and crispy Italian cookie that goes well with coffee or tea. This recipe is simple to make and bursting with chocolate and almond flavor.

Ingredients

1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
1/2 cup chopped almonds
Three large eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 teaspoon baking powder

Time Needed

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 40 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and vanilla extract until light and frothy.
Mix in the dry ingredients just until combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips and almonds.
Form the dough into two logs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 25 minutes, then remove from oven and set aside for 10 minutes to cool.
Slice the logs diagonally into 1/2-inch thick slices with a serrated knife.
Bake for an additional 15 minutes with the biscotti slices cut-side up on the baking sheet.
Remove from the oven and set aside to cool before serving.
