  • Cook Time: 15 minutes
  • Total Time: 35 minutes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius).
  • Using parchment paper, line a baking sheet.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together for 3 minutes, or until light and fluffy.
  • Incorporate the egg yolk and vanilla extract.
  • Mix in the flour mixture until it is just combined with the butter mixture.
  • Divide the dough in half and roll each half into a 1 1/2-inch (4-cm) log.
  • Wrap each log in plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  • Take the logs out of the refrigerator and cut them into 1/4-inch (6 mm) rounds.
  • Bake the rounds for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned, on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Place the biscuits on a cooling rack to cool completely.
  • Serve and have fun.
