Sweet Biscuit Cookies Recipe
These sweet and buttery biscuits are ideal for a quick dessert. They are light, fluffy, and flavorful, making them a favourite of both children and adults.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Cook Time: 12 minutes
- Total Time: 22 minutes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350° F.
- (175 degrees C).
- Cream the butter and sugar together in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda in a separate bowl.
- Stir the flour mixture into the butter mixture until thoroughly combined.
- Drop tablespoon-size dough balls onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
