Sweet Biscuit Cookies Recipe

These sweet and buttery biscuits are ideal for a quick dessert. They are light, fluffy, and flavorful, making them a favourite of both children and adults.

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 egg
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 cup butter, softened
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Time Needed

• Prep Time: 10 minutes
• Cook Time: 12 minutes
• Total Time: 22 minutes

Instructions

• Preheat the oven to 350° F.
• (175 degrees C).
• Cream the butter and sugar together in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
• Mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
• Whisk together the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda in a separate bowl.
• Stir the flour mixture into the butter mixture until thoroughly combined.
• Drop tablespoon-size dough balls onto ungreased baking sheets.
• Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned.
• Allow to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
