Strawberry Jam Sugar Cookies Recipe
These soft and chewy sugar cookies are filled with sweet strawberry jam and are ideal for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup strawberry jam
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream together the butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Incorporate the egg and vanilla extract.
- Mix in the dry ingredients gradually until just combined.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them 2 inches apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Make an indentation in the centre of each ball with your thumb or the end of a wooden spoon.
- Place a small spoonful of strawberry jam in each indentation.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges.
- Allow the cookies to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
