Homemade Shortbread Cookies Recipe

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cream the butter and confectioners' sugar together in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  • Sift in the flour and salt and stir until the dough forms.
  • Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness on a floured surface.
  • Cut the dough into desired shapes with a cookie cutter and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Cook for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Allow the cookies to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
