Star Shaped Butter Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temp
2-3 tsp milk
1/4 tsp salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 tsp baking powder

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius).
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar for 3 minutes, or until light and fluffy.
Incorporate the egg and vanilla extract.
Mix in the flour mixture until it is just combined with the butter mixture.
Form the dough into a disk, wrap it in plastic wrap, and place it in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/4 inch on a lightly floured surface.
