Social Tea Biscuits Recipe

These Social Tea Biscuits are ideal for a tea or coffee break in the afternoon. They're light and flaky, and not overly sweet. They're also simple to make, with only a few basic ingredients.

Ingredients

Time Needed

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: 10 minutes
  • Total Time: 25 minutes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a medium mixing bowl.
  • Add the butter and cut it into the flour mixture with a pastry blender or your fingers until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Pour in the milk and stir until the mixture forms a ball.
  • Roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch thickness on a lightly floured surface.
  • Cut out the biscuits with a cookie cutter and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Allow the biscuits to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
