Social Tea Biscuits Recipe
These Social Tea Biscuits are ideal for a tea or coffee break in the afternoon. They're light and flaky, and not overly sweet. They're also simple to make, with only a few basic ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, room temp
- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- Cook Time: 10 minutes
- Total Time: 25 minutes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a medium mixing bowl.
- Add the butter and cut it into the flour mixture with a pastry blender or your fingers until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Pour in the milk and stir until the mixture forms a ball.
- Roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch thickness on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut out the biscuits with a cookie cutter and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow the biscuits to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
