Flat Baked Vanilla Biscuits Recipe

These flat baked vanilla biscuits are simple to make and go great with a cup of tea or coffee. They're buttery and flavorful with vanilla.

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  • In a separate mixing bowl, cream the softened butter until it is creamy.
  • Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until thoroughly combined.
  • Stir the flour mixture into the butter mixture until a dough forms.
  • Roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thickness on a lightly floured surface.
  • Cut out desired shapes with a cookie cutter and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Allow the biscuits to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
