Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Combine the flour, salt, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl and stir until a dough forms.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius).
  • Place the dough in small balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • With the back of a fork, gently press each cookie down.
  • Bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Remove the cookies from the oven and place them on a wire rack to cool.
  • Melt the chocolate chips in a double boiler or microwave, stirring constantly, until smooth.
  • Dip each cooled cookie in the melted chocolate, coating half of it.
  • Return the cookies to the wire rack to set the chocolate.
  • Serve and have fun.
