Butter Cookies with Sprinkles Recipe
These soft, buttery butter cookies are strewn with colourful sprinkles. They're ideal for any occasion and will put a smile on your face.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 20 minutes
- Cook Time: 15 minutes
- Total Time: 35 minutes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
- Cream the butter and sugar together in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Incorporate the egg and vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture gradually, mixing until just combined.
- Incorporate the sprinkles.
- Scoop tablespoons of dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Preheat the oven to 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
