Chocolate Chip Cookies with Milk Recipe
These chocolate chip cookies are a traditional favourite that go great with a glass of cold milk. The recipe is simple and straightforward, making it ideal for baking novices.
Ingredients
- 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- To serve, milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

- Prep Time: 15 minutes
- Cook Time: 15 minutes
- Total Time: 30 minutes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
- Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
- Incorporate the egg and vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.
- Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients gradually until just combined.
- Incorporate the chocolate chips.
- Scoop the dough into balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, about 2 inches apart.
- Preheat the oven to 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centres are set.
- Allow the cookies to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Serve with a glass of cold milk.
