Chocolate Dipped Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

These chocolate chip cookies are elevated by dipping them in melted chocolate.

Ingredients

• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
• 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temp
• 1 cup milk chocolate chips
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Time Needed

• Prep Time: 20 minutes
• Cook Time: 12 minutes
• Total Time: 32 minutes

Instructions

• Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
• In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
• Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
• Incorporate the egg and vanilla extract.
• Mix in the flour mixture gradually until just combined.
• Combine the semisweet and milk chocolate chips in a mixing bowl.
• Scoop the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
• 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
• Place the cookies on a wire rack to cool completely.
• Melt the remaining chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a small bowl in the microwave or over a double boiler.
• Dip half of each cookie into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
• Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and allow the chocolate to set at room temperature.
