Flat and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe
These cookies are flat and chewy, with a generous amount of chocolate chips in each bite. They're simple to make and ideal for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Two large eggs
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 20 minutes
- Cook Time: 15 minutes
- Total Time: 35 minutes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius).
- In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly combine the melted butter and brown sugar.
- Mix in the eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.
- Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until they are just combined.
- Incorporate the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges.
- Remove from the oven and cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
