Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1 cup chocolate chips
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

• Prep Time: 15 minutes
• Cook Time: 12 minutes
• Total Time: 27 minutes

Instructions

• Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
• Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
• Incorporate the egg and vanilla extract.
• Combine the flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.
• Mix in the flour mixture gradually with the butter mixture.
• Add the chocolate chips and mix well.
• Drop the dough onto ungreased baking sheets in rounded tablespoons.
• Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
• Remove from the oven and cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheets.
• Place the cookies on a wire rack to cool completely.
