Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

These Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies have the perfect balance of sweet and salty flavours. The addition of coarse sea salt enhances the flavour of the chocolate chips and makes these cookies even more delectable.

  • Cook Time: 10 minutes
  • Total Time: 25 minutes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cream the butter and sugars together in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.
  • Slowly combine the dry and wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Incorporate the chocolate chips.
  • Place 1 tablespoon of cookie dough on the prepared baking sheet, 2 inches apart.
  • Sprinkle coarse sea salt on top of each cookie.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
