Fudge Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

These fudge-stuffed chocolate chip cookies are the ideal marriage of a fudgy brownie and a traditional chocolate chip cookie. They're chewy, soft, and oozing with melty fudge.

Ingredients

Cut 12-15 pieces of fudge into small cubes
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
2/3 cup cocoa powder
Two large eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Time Needed

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 35 minutes

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
Cream the butter and sugar together in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
Incorporate the eggs and vanilla extract.
Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.
Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture gradually, mixing until just combined.
Incorporate the chocolate chips.
Scoop a tablespoon of dough into your hand and flatten it.
Place a piece of fudge in the centre of the dough and wrap it around it, making sure it is completely covered.
Repeat with the rest of the dough and fudge.
Place the dough balls on a baking sheet, leaving some space between them.
12-15 minutes, or until the edges are set and the tops are slightly cracked.
Remove from the oven and cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
