These fudge-stuffed chocolate chip cookies are the ideal marriage of a fudgy brownie and a traditional chocolate chip cookie. They're chewy, soft, and oozing with melty fudge.

  • Prep Time: 20 minutes
  • Cook Time: 15 minutes
  • Total Time: 35 minutes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
  • Cream the butter and sugar together in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  • Incorporate the eggs and vanilla extract.
  • Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture gradually, mixing until just combined.
  • Incorporate the chocolate chips.
  • Scoop a tablespoon of dough into your hand and flatten it.
  • Place a piece of fudge in the centre of the dough and wrap it around it, making sure it is completely covered.
  • Repeat with the rest of the dough and fudge.
  • Place the dough balls on a baking sheet, leaving some space between them.
  • 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are set and the tops are slightly cracked.
  • Remove from the oven and cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
