Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe
These traditional chocolate chip cookies will satisfy any sweet tooth. They're ideal for sharing with family and friends because of their soft and chewy texture and rich chocolate flavour.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar (white)
- Two large eggs
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 20 minutes
- Cook Time: 10 minutes
- Total Time: 30 minutes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Cream the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar together in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
- One at a time, beat in the eggs, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.
- Add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture gradually, mixing well after each addition.
- Add the chocolate chips and mix well.
- On ungreased baking sheets, place rounded tablespoons of dough.
- 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.
- Allow the cookies to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
