Thin and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

- Prep Time: 15 minutes
- Cook Time: 12 minutes
- Total Time: 27 minutes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Mix in the flour mixture until it is just combined with the butter mixture.
- Add the chocolate chips and mix well.
- Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
- 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned and the centres are set.
- Cool for 2 minutes on the baking sheets before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
