Dark Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies Recipe
These chewy and crunchy Dark Chocolate Muesli Cookies have a rich chocolate flavour that will satisfy any sweet tooth. They're simple to make and suitable for a variety of occasions, from a weeknight dessert to a holiday cookie exchange.
Ingredients
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking soda

- Prep Time: 15 minutes
- Cook Time: 10 minutes
- Total Time: 25 minutes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt.
- In a separate large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until thoroughly combined.
- Mix in the dry ingredients slowly until just combined.
- Combine the rolled oats and dark chocolate chips in a mixing bowl.
- Drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart, with a cookie scoop or spoon.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centres are set.
- Allow the cookies to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
