Simple Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe
These simple chocolate chip cookies are quick and easy to make, and they're ideal for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 15 minutes
- Cook Time: 10 minutes
- Total Time: 25 minutes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt.
- In a separate large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
- Incorporate the egg and vanilla extract.
- Add in the flour mixture gradually until just combined.
- Mix in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheets before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
