Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Chocolate chip cookies are a classic treat that everyone enjoys. This recipe yields deliciously chewy cookies stuffed with chocolate chips.

Ingredients

• 3/4 cup brown sugar
• 1 cup unsalted butter, room temp
• 3/4 cup granulated sugar
• 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
• Two large eggs
• 1 teaspoon baking soda

• Prep Time: 15 minutes
• Cook Time: 10 minutes
• Total Time: 25 minutes

Instructions

• Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
• In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt.
• In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
• Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
• Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture gradually, beating until just combined.
• Add the chocolate chips and mix well.
• Drop the dough onto ungreased baking sheets in rounded tablespoons.
• 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
• Cool for 2 minutes on the baking sheets before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
